Jan Darasz was born in Bolton, England in 1960. He picked up his first history book at primary school and has been looking back ever since. He studied History at St. John's College, Cambridge University 1979-1982. Afterwards, he became (and still is) an illustrator for the financial press. He came to Poland in 2010. He is a licenced guide to the  city and is writing a history of Warsaw.

Jan Muś (that's him, below, lecturing to his students!) on the other hand was actually born in Warsaw. His historical interst took him to the Balkans. He is a lecturer in international relations at Vistula University. His passion is woodworking, so if you ever want a sauna built or a balcony repaired as well as an article edited, he's your man.
